The Downs Unplugged Coffeehouse will feature "Connie Jo Hardy"
at the May Downs Unplugged Coffeehouse. The
performance will begin at 7:30 at the Downs Memorial Hall.
Connie was born
in Broken Bow , Nebraska and was raised on a farm North of Broken
Bow. After high School Graduation she attended Nebraska Christian
College (NCC) in Norfolk, Nebraska receiving Associate of Arts Degrees in
Christian Education, Church Secretarial and Church Music. While
attending NCC she was very active in the music department singing in the
College Choir, Enthusiastics (a 12 member select group) and in a trio
called "Joy Unlimited".
Connie has been married to David Hardy for almost
32 years and they have 3 children, Joel and wife, Stacey; Rachel and
husband, Nathan , and Aaron. they are also proud grandparents with 1
grandchild, Jackson.
Connie and David moved to Downs in May of 1985
and have been active members of the First Christian Church where Connie
teaches Sunday School, plays the piano for the worship service and
occasionally sings a special for church.
Connie has sung with the Downs Community Chorus
almost every year since it started, sung at the USO Show and the Downs
Celebration..
Connie will share her beautiful voice with all of
you on May 8th at the Memorial Hall in Downs Kansas starting at 7:30 p.m.
There will be no charge for this concert but donations are always
welcome. Desserts and coffee will be available as well for a
donation.
