Downs Arts Council, Inc
Downs Unplugged Coffeehouse
The Downs Unplugged Coffeehouse will feature Jeremy Long Jeremy
Long grew up on a farm north of Downs, Ks and is currently in his 4th year
of teaching Agriculture in Natoma, Ks. His responsibilities at
Natoma also include FFA advisor, baseball coach, and assistant football
coach. He enjoys the rural lifestyle and small-town atmosphere that
he grew up in and plans to be a lifelong resident of the area.
Jeremy started playing guitar in late 2002 after his grandfather, Glenn
Marihugh of Esbon, KS, gave him an old acoustic. Since that time he
has played three "Downs Unplugged Coffeehouse" shows and has
appeared twice at the "Not Just Folk Music Festival." He loves
to cover the great classic country artists, but enjoys all types of
music including: classic rock, blues, folk, rock & roll, and
alternative rock. He also writes his own songs and says that an
independent album may be in his future. Jeremy is happy to announce
his engagement to Katie Hendrix of Dodge City, KS. Katie and he will
be living south of Alton after their August wedding. Jeremy would
like to thank his family and friends for all of their support. He
would also like to thank Carl Warner and the Downs Arts Council for
continuing to promote local artists. This special show at the Depot
will have a "travelin" theme and you are sure to hear a
"train" song or two! |
